Well, actually I'm a bit sad. In just four short days my baby will be one year old - this is absolutely devastating as she's bigger and bigger every day. Don't get me wrong, it is Amazingly Cool to see her grow and develop but sad that she's not a baby anymore.
I basically was home alone with the girls all week - two nights Sam worked past bedtime and two nights he was in Seattle :( Yuck-o! To top it off, Anna was quite sick - again! Poor thing has been miserable. Took her to the dr. and she has some sort of virus - similar to hand, foot and mouth, herpes, polio, etc. That made me feel Great!!!! (note the sarcasm here) So the last two nights she's had tylenol with codeine and has been sleeping much better. Go figure. Still has a rash but no more fever. OH! and to increase all the fun she's going through she has Three!!! teeth trying to come in - poor little monkey.
Same ol' same ol' this week. Sam's in Seattle at least Wednesday, if not more. Headed over to Janet and Lynn's this week. Professional reading material and maybe, I'm not sure children's reading material.
Anna's language is burgeoning - more and more words she's trying to say. Guess what is one of her new words? Dora! Yep, the baby knows and recognizes Dora. I guess the interesting thing, at least to me, is that Ella is moving past Dora lately. Polly Pockets and Ponies are her favorite things. Oh, and little workbooks!?!?!
Have the party plans all firmed up, no school this week so that makes things easier. Just have to do the grocery shopping and wrap presents for 'Anna' to unwrap. Love having parties! Last week we had a couple of playdates - always fun - then found out Anna was sick, "Highly Contagious" if they haven't already had a strain of it so then had to email the other moms and rat myself out for bringing a sick kid around their kids - totally sucks!
Last night we were going to let Ella stay awake and watch the Persides or whatever with us but she refused to nap - good thing - it was kind of a dud and it was Freezing! Hopefully tonight will be better. Another thing, last night I'd told Sam something to the effect of, "I'm going to check out the N-E-M-O height requirements," and Ella pipes up and tells Sam, "Dad, there's a Nemo ride at Disneyland." Little stinker! The conversation was totally out of context as we were discussing our nighttime plans.
Sorry about that last crazy run-on hard-to-understand sentence ;)

Not quite sure why but we both love this little chubbi-kins look on her face!

This would be why she eats in a high chair - it is so much fun to feed yourself!

Say "Cheese!"

okey doke - Daddy will give you cheese since you asked for it so nicely.

Anna stood the entire time and ate an ENTIRE half a nectarine! The eating of the whole half was more amazing to me than the standing!

One more thing. Today Sam and I were talking about a 'smash cake' for Anna's party. Ella asked what it was so I showed her pictures of her with her smash cake and other photos from her first birthday.
"Mom, what are those things on my legs?"
