Ella had a dr. appointment with Dr. Mosca on Monday morning. Bright and Early - we left around 11:30. After Sam took this photo with his camera:

Needless to say, we weren't expecting the day to turn out the way it did. Now we go back on December 24th, just Ella and I, and she'll get a new set of casts. She thinks next time she'll get one pink cast and one orange cast :) Silly Girl.
She's been a total trooper. Great and strong and just her normal happy self. She went to ballet on Tuesday and powered her way through it. It was tough and she was tired and totally awkward but still had a great time! Her instructor was fabulous and very understanding and caring. Good to see this side of her :)
Can't wait to find out how much this set weighs! They are no longer the fiberglass casts so they are much heavier and they need to be cut off. Good news is that they are only toe to knee rather than toe to hip. Makes all of our lives much easier!!!
One last thing: Ella's pre-school is doing two performances of the Christmas story next week. In one of the performances Ella is going to be Mary. She was so excited when I told her. All of the girls have been doing all of the parts so everyone gets a turn. She was insistent that her friend Abby was going to be Mary. I explained that Abby was going to be Mary one time but during the show when all the daddies are going to be there that she was going to be Mary. She was so happy and had the hugest grin. It was great to see!!!
She's had a tough week poor kid. Not only the casts but she has also been pretty sick since we got back. I almost didn't send her to school today but she woke up feeling good and without a fever. We sent her with the understanding that we may be going to pick her up any minute. It also helps that all the girls were all sick on Tuesday anyway.
