Today is a Great Day!

Today is a great day and actually it has been a great week in our lives!

Okey dokey - so haven't been prompt lately - life getting in the way of life again :) Anyway we are doing great over here - things are going well and today was an especially good day:
1. We got Anna's three month video (only two days late)
2. We have dining room furniture (it looks like we live here now)
3. It is Saturday - In November - and Sam is NOT working!!!!
4. Anna has slept through the night (until 4 am feeding) all week!
5. Today was sunshiny and bright, gorgeous weather
6. Tonight we went and bought some new Christmas ornaments
7. Anna put herself down for a nap today - TWICE
8. A ton of our neighbors are putting up Christmas lights
9. We are having Thanksgiving at our new house, and people are coming over
10. Ella got to play outside for two hours today and met some new "friends"
11. Ella's having a wonderful time at school and is actually using more
Spanish than French (Da Da Da Dora)
12. Tons of scrapbooking worked on and completed this week
13. I'm in a Secret Santa and having fun, both as the Santa and the Santee
14. Getting my Christmas presents made for people and they're actually
turning out quite well
15. Had the chance to go to the Scrapbook store THREE times this week -
one time they actually called me to come pick something up (how cool
is that?!?!?)
16. Ella is wanting to "crapbook" Everything! and this is including her
toilet (ha ha), we showed her a picture someone had posted of a potty
seat that was altered (scrapbooked)and thought we'd bribe her to
create something on her own - Yeah, that so didn't work either. She
is SOOOO stinking stubborn!
17. Ella learned that yellow and blue make green, red and blue make purple
and that red and yellow make orange - AB-SO-LUTELY Fascinating! (also
absolutley paint all over the kitchen floor - oh well, at least it
cleans up easily)
18. Anna was serenaded by Ella with "You are my Sister, my only Sister,
you make me haaapppee when skies are grey, you'll always know dear
sister how much I love you. Please don't take my sister away." She
made up the lyrics all by herself. Well, you know what part we mean
she made up by herself
19. Ella is singing constantly! Real songs, made up songs, hybrid songs -
this is so delightful to see and hear, we love love love it!
20. Went to the salon for a cut and a color (I'm too young for gray!)
21. Starting to feel more normal, life is settling down and this little
baby is just so amazing - we joke that we've gained free time since
having her - no dr. visits, no rocking to sleep, no colic, naps
everyday - who knew?
22. Ella has started running around this week with a little plastic red
crustacean (you know the kind we mean) and poking us with it and
screaming . . . wait for it . . . wait for it . . . wait for
it . . . "I lobstered you!"
23. Fortunately I was wearing flannel Christmas Lobster pajamas :) (gotta
love 'em)and not nylon or something meltable, and fortunately I also
had many ready small frozen ice packs for Anna's milk when I poured
boiling water on my stomach last night (that part was not so
fortunate - that REALLY hurt!)
24. Last night, as I was cleaning my scrap room, Sam said, "I need to buy
you some new shelves or cupboards or something to put all your things
in." - Do I have the nicest, most thoughtful husband or what?!?!?!

So, for the next few days we'll power through posts to catch up on all the things we've missed the last few weeks. Until then, here are a couple of cute pictures to tide you over.

nice make-up chicky

is she just the cutest thing or what?!?!?!
