WACKO

wacko

Wacko

Wacko!

WACKO!

WACKO!!!!

WACK-OOOOO!!!!

Nope - not my mental state. This is what Sam and I frequently hear from the daughters.

Nope. It's not them being rude to one another.

This is Anna and Ella 'loving' each other. " Here's the situation: Ella starts laughing then she climbs on Anna pins her down and hugs and kisses her all over. Pretty soon Anna starts screaming, "Wacko! Wacko! Wacko!!! WACK-O!!!!!"

AKA "let go let go let go let go let GO!!!"

At which point, unfortunately, we need to intervene - the three of us are laughing hysterically and the baby is so angry - her little face is all red and we can't stop.

It is kind of mean to encourage it - especially when Ella starts it on purpose. Grabs Anna to hug her and then says, "Anna, say Wacko." Of course, Anna has no idea she's saying wacko - she doesn't get this game AT ALL.

Other funny things they say and do:

"I have two ponies. This pony's name is Misty. This pony's name is Johnny Rainbow." - WTH? We've decided it's the Mafia version of My Little Pony.

What else? Anna eats constantly - not a lot - just ALL THE TIME. So, the other day she asks for bread. Fine, I give her a 1/2 slice of bread and she eats it. A little later we have to go wake Ella up from her nap (why Ella is napping???) anyway - Anna asks for more bread. I told her after we wake up Ella. The child freaks out screaming and pitching a major fit! "Bed, bed, bed, bed, bed, bed..." You get the idea. So, I give her the other slice of bread because I figure, maybe she's hungry. All is right with the world again and we head upstairs to wake big sister. We get upstairs and Anna runs into the room, tosses the bread on the bed and says, "Bread, Ella, take." - The sweet little thing didn't want the other half, she was saving it for her sister. Now how Sweet and Adorable is that?!?!?

Ella is doing this thing lately where she calls us Bran and Sam - no big deal to us. We think it's funny - it's not all the time and is usually in the context of how we say it to each other. "Hey Bran, check this out." "Hey Sam, look at this." We figure she's just modeling what she hears - great. So, the other day she's on the stairs and kicks her slipper off. Said slipper lands smack in the middle of my scrapbook paper. She starts laughing -full on belly laugh - "Sam, you need to tell Bran that my slipper landed in her scrapbook paper!" She can't get the whole sentence out because she's laughing -has to try a couple of times. Evidently - this is highbrow humor to a 3 1/2 year old ;)

I know there's more - I just can't think of them right now -

I'll just toss in some pics since I didn't really on the last post... I think they are all from January - but don't hold me to that. Okay I just checked, the very last one is from December, the snow kid, the rest are truly from January ~ fairly recent is the point.

We played dress-up at pre-school this week.

Anna -

wearing Ella's pajamas from the night before

Anna as our snow bunny

Anna is dressed up too - notice the Two headbands, the necklace, the boa and the rings - also, please notice the containers of jewelery she's selecting from...

Ella's Very.First.Attempt at a self-portrait (or any portrait for that matter - refuses to draw, "I'm not good at drawing pictures.") Makes me so sad. - WAIT! The picture doesn't make me sad - that makes me so happy and excited she actually tried it! What makes me sad is that she's already judging and comparing herself :(

This is Ella with her 'snow kid' - don't make the mistake of calling it a snow man. Her name is Shirley (?) - we have no idea where that came from!

We LOVE to see the photos and hear all the details. Those are some amazing, sweet-lovin' girls!! And we aren't saying that just because they're our amazing grandkids! :)) We Want More! We're also flabbergasted by how much they have grown and changed since we saw them in December. Sigh. Can't wait to have you all within easy driving distance again. \,,/
