Happy Sunday

Good afternoon - not so good on updating as frequently as we thought - but really how much day to day do people really want to know?

So . . . this morning I was able to sleep in and this is what I found when I came downstairs with Anna at 8:20. ~ Nice Hat Ella ~

- The two Dora's are going to a Halloween Party!

Sam had both the girls and I got to sleep until 8 am - uninterrupted! Wahoo!!

As it is Sunday - in October - we had to add these pictures from today. Are these just the cutest girls or what?!?! (Thanks to Erin for sending the jerseys.)

Updates on the girls - Anna is sleeping a tad bit less and smiling more and more at Sam - so much fun for him and great that she's knowing him and feeling more comfortable with him - he's actually able to put her to sleep! Ella is a crack-up as usual and we're pretty sure she's just hit another cognitive milestone. These week we had those window cling things for Halloween and as I was taking care of Anna she's playing by herself. I went in a few minutes later and I find all the bigger clings back on the sheet, in the right spots, just like a puzzle - totally cute! Then, I look up at the window and the little clings are all perfectly sorted up on the window: little purple stars with little purple stars, big stars together, bats together etc. It was so fun to see and this is something she figured out on her own - the teacher in me is so impressed!

Let's see, what else? Yesterday (Saturday) Ella managed to use the toilet all day with only one accident(accident-ish? intentional) and today she went from 8:30 to 12:00 without a diaper and without using the toilet - she is so stinking stubborn!!! (Wonder where she gets that from? : ) )

This week we went to lunch with Sam's Great Aunt and Uncle, which makes them Ella and Anna's Great-Great Aunt and Uncle, although she prefers Grand Aunt Janet to Great Great! We had a fun time out in Green Bluff and will be heading back out there to take some fall pictures the next time we have a sunny afternoon.

Speaking of Great and Great Great - here's a pic. of 4 generations on Sam's mom's side. Great Grandma Mary, Grandma Terrie, Sam and the girls - What a great picture - this is from Anna's "Meet the Baby" party (although most of the people at the party had already met her.)

Lastly, for those of you who know the Averys we are keeping a very close eye on their updates as they are traveling to and from China to bring home their new daughter Sophie. Three more days and she'll be back in the states and meeting her brothers and grandparents! We are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers and are so very excited for their family and to meet Sophie! Hooray!!!
